Our Community
Thorp is a small unincorporated farming community nestled in the heart of the Kittitas County. Thorp may be small, but is mighty in the opportunities it provides for its community members and visitors. Being just minutes from Ellensburg and Cle Elum, one can make a day of exploring Thorp and the entire Kittitas County. "Follow your nose to Thorp!"

This is the original building for the oldest fire departments in Washington State. It is located near Thorp Highway and Main Street. The building was recently sold and has been turned into a gallery and local gathering place. Learn more about PUNCH projects.
F.c. porter store
One of the oldest surviving commercial structures in the area. It was home to a dry goods store for many years. Today the F.C. Porter Building is home to Record Printing Publishing and Design, a labeling company, and has been fully renovated.
Old Thorp Post Office
Located right next door to the Old Thorp Fire Station, the Post Office was in operation until the 1990's when a new building was built on the corner of 1st and Thorp Highway. It is now privately owned and has been turned into a residence.
Thorp box factory
Once dedicated to the construction of apple and fruit boxes, the Thorp Box Factory Building is now owned and operated as a warehouse for the Tractor Company.
Erected in 1936, this historic brick building still today serves the educational needs of the students of Thorp School. The building contains multiple classrooms, a gymnasium, and a stage. Learn more about Thorp School District here.
Northern Pacific Depot
The Depot was originally located adjacent to the railroad tracks near Thorp Highway and Second Street. The Depot is now located near Thorp Highway at the east end of town.
